Yeah I think it's fairly common knowledge that "too much" oil will have the level at the crank meaning foam which your fuel pump won't like... I've been curious for a long time about just how much extra that takes. The Z06, for example, actually recommends in the manual to add an extra full QUART for track days (and presumably that has the usual factory safety margin built in, so you could probably get away with a quart and a half). Anyone with a definitive answer on how much can be safely added, how much a given amount raises the oil level, etc? Also, do the ill effects only occur if the oil level is sitting where the crank hits it (versus being high enough that the crank just hits it sporadically as it splashes)?
